Tech Editing Services

With a background in engineering, I spent most of my career writing and editing technical procedures and documents. I apply that expertise to your quilt pattern to help you create a polished and professional document!

I have a fast turn around so you can move toward pattern release on your own schedule.

With tiered pricing, you will find the right level of service for your needs.

Service Levels

Basic

The basic plan includes high level editing of your pattern. I will review:

- Grammar and Spelling

- Clarity of construction

- Formatting

- Basic math calculations (i.e. - whether or not your fabric requirements are accurate based on your stated cutting instructions).

Cost: $30 per hour billed in 5 minute increments

Standard

The Standard plan includes everything in the basic plan plus:

- Detailed math review, including sub block piecing.

- Suggestions for construction or formatting simplification (if necessary).

Cost: $40 per hour, billed in 5 minute increments.

All-Inclusive

The All-Inclusive plan includes everything in the basic and Standard plans plus:

- Physical construction of a test block or tricky piecing technique, whichever best fits your pattern.

Cost: $40 per hour, billed in 5 minute increments (pattern editing), plus $20 per test block/test piece.
